Homebuyer Education is the first step in buying a home. These classes help you prepare to purchase a home, avoid pitfalls, and take advantage of opportunities in the purchasing process. You can use the calendar below to register for Home Buyer Education classes taught by experienced NHSIE Instructors.

Home Buyer Education is also available through our collaboration with eHome America

Online Homebuyer Education can be completed online, in English or Spanish. You can proceed at your own pace and start and stop at your convenience until the 8-hour course is completed.

    • $99.00/per person

Once you have completed the online course, click the link in your completion message to fill out our disclosures and schedule your follow-up appointment. Upon the completion of the follow-up counseling, NHSIE will provide your certificate.

Please Note:

    • Before taking the online course, please verify that your lender and the program in which you are applying for down payment assistance will accept the online certification and do not require the in-person 8-hour class.
    • Only one member of the household needs to pay the fee and create an account. Additional users can be added to the account and attend the follow-up appointment.
